Chakra Four is also known as the Heart Chakra. It is the balancing point for the other Chakras.

Energy from the three lower Chakras combine with the energy from the three above and find balance.

Anahata governs intuition, hope, love and forgiveness. The element is air and this Chakra is the center of your compassion, joy, love, and strong bonds with others.

It is where compassion, empathy, and generosity reside.

Anahata translates to mean Unstruck. The lesson is to live our life as if we have never been wounded. This is important because the Heart Chakra shows us how everything is connected and expects us to live feeling that we are one with each other and the world around us. It asks that instead of judging others we open ourselves to them with compassion.

Mark Twain wrote, "Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet sheds upon the heel that has crushed it." This is the lesson of Anahata; respond to injury with beauty.

Chakra Four encompasses our heart, lungs, shoulders and arms, ribs, breasts diaphragm and thymus gland. The heart speaks on behalf of the soul. You notice when we need a moment to process our feeling we "need air" or stop and "take a breath" before we react. This is the heart Chakra at work.

When we carry grief in our hearts it turns into a grievance against another. It is important to search ourselves for these feelings. We can have no freedom until we let go. Releasing grudges, grief, and resentment allows us to forgive. Forgiveness set us free. This is the foundation for ALL healing.

When unbalanced we struggle with resentment, loneliness, grief, anger, mistrust, lack of hope and the tendency to label and judge. Physical manifestations of an imbalance are heart failure or attack, asthma, lung problems, upper back and shoulder issues and problems related to the breasts.

When Anahata is balanced we have self love, compassion, empathy, peace, unity,

equilibrium and a strong immune system.

To achieve real prosperity we need to practice gratitude for what we have. When we feel we have abundance we don't need to buy into consumerism.  We live from the inside out.
